Marie FAHLGREN, BOARD PRESIDENT

Marie Fahlgren is honored to serve on the board of Montana Repertory Theatre, an organization that played a pivotal role in shaping her passion for Theatre. As an undergraduate at the University of Montana, Marie toured nationally with the Rep, experiencing firsthand its profound impact on students, communities, and audiences nationwide. That experience instilled a deep appreciation for the Rep’s mission and lasting influence. Marie brings her experience in acting, nonprofit management, education, community outreach, and marketing to the table, supporting the Rep’s continued growth and artistic excellence.

Sarah butts

Sarah Butts (she/her) was born and raised in Bigfork, Montana. After living outside of the state for several years, she returned in 2020 to obtain her Master of Social Work from University of Montana. She is currently a therapist practicing at Meadowlark Counseling in Missoula and also works for MIC, a local non-profit dedicated to providing housing, employment, and food for marginalized residents of Missoula. Additionally, Sarah is a theatre artist and holds an MFA Directing from UC Irvine.  She has a passion for community responsive theatre and has written and directed several documentary theatre works addressing topics including mental health, public education, houselessness, and child loss & grief. Sarah is an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Dr. Catherine Capps

Retired Orthopedic surgeon and performing artist, Cathy served on the board of Missoula Children’s Theatre for 25 years. She is a member of Zoola Playwrights and Montana Playwrights Network, and an active supporter of the UM Jazz Studies program. She received the 2014 Cultural Achievement award from Arts Missoula, and the UM Neil Buckley Presidential service award in 2012. Dr. Capps endowed Montana Repertory Theatre's First Reads Program in honor of her mother, Agnes Ranjo Capps.

maggie hansing

Maggie Hansing is the Director of Operations and Engagement for the Office of the President at the University of Montana. Before her time in Missoula, she served as the Senior Director of Events and Auxiliaries, as well as a Director of Major Gifts, for Swedish Medical Center in Seattle, WA. Additionally, Maggie has held positions at Yale University, the University of Pennsylvania and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Maggie completed her undergraduate work in history at the University of Pennsylvania and later earned a master’s degree in higher education administration from Harvard University.

KJ OLDS

KJ Olds became a founding member of the Montana Rep Advisory Board in 2022. A University of Montana Alumni, holding a BFA in Acting, it is KJ's honor to serve her alma mater through advising and supporting the Montana Rep and by returning as a Guest Artist teacher of Acting at UofM. Upon receiving her BFA, KJ went on to receive her MFA at University of California, Irvine, on full talent scholarship. She has since gone on to become a writer, producer, director, casting director, and a seasoned actor in theatre, film, and television.

MARK PLONSKY

Mark is an instructor in the School of Theatre and Dance and teaches for the Franke Global Leadership Initiative at the University of Montana. He leads several community outreach projects working with the recovery community, people of all abilities, and those who are transitioning. Through the criminal justice system. Mark has been honored to be a part of The Rep's ongoing journey and is proud to be a part of their team.
